The Heroes of La Florida Curriculum

The Curriculum

The goal of the Heroes of La Florida Curriculum Project is to provide teachers with the resources necessary to teach Florida’s history by focusing on the lives of admirable individuals.

For all AGES AND TYPES OF SCHOOL

Children of all ages should be given the chance to enter more deeply into the complex history of historic La Florida. All lesson plans and resources on this website will be calibrated to Sunshine State Standards and, when applicable, to the Common Core. Different lesson plans will be offered for public and parochial schools, as well as for traditional and home school settings.
